My brother just got a ticket. he made an illegal turn in a construction zone, and didn’t have any license, registration or insurance on him. He should me the ticket that he got. There was 2 of them. the same ticket but different copies, one said misdemeanor copy and the other was an infraction copy. Neither of us have ever had a ticket before so we really don’t know how to read it. Is this 2 tickets? or 1 and why does one say misdemeanor? how can we find out if he will get any points for this?

Without seeing the tickets themselves I can only make an assumption on what your brother has.

The “infraction” ticket would be for the no license and/or no insurance.

The “misdemeanor” ticket may be for “reckless endangerment” for making a U-turn in the middle of a construction zone.

There should be an “offense code” on the tickets which you can research on line.

If that doesn’t help email me directly and I’ll try to help further!
