I believe it is called Wernicke’s dyslexia, same as the brain area. Has anyone done any brain anatomy research on this?

This may not be what you are looking for but I have an interesting article from current science January 2006 about the biological basis of dyslexia. Wernicke’s area is covered. MRI’s suggest that there is an under activity of the posterior brain in Wernicke’s area, interestingly though, there is an overactivation in Broca’s areas 44 and 45. Both of these findings were evident on my sons IEE psychoeducational assessment. He is 7, test results in phonics assessed him at 3yrs. 1 month, yet the overactivity on Broca’s area of non word repitition he scored in the 99.9+ percentile at 30+ years.

Hi I was able to find these articles, which are rather interesting, one has pictures of the brain and highlights the Wernicke area.

I hope this is what your looking for
