Which first grade level curriculum?

The options are overwhelming! I’m looking for a curriculum in a box for first grade level work. (I’m to scattered to be able to make sure I covered everything…plus, this is all new to me!) So, which curriculums did you guys use to cover all subjects in first grade.
On a side note: We already have Saxon Math 1, and it looks good. So, math can stand alone.
I just have the one child.

Does anyone know where I can find the Pennsylvania academic standards for first grade science?

I’m giving a few books to a girl who is in third grade but has a first-grade reading level. Should I give her first grade books, second grade books, or third grade books? What’s going to improve her reading level? Does anyone have any suggestions that I could easily find at Barnes and Noble tonight. As for the type of book, anything goes, but I want 1 or 2 books about puppies because that is one thing that I know she likes.

Can someone please give me Abeka 1st grade spelling list 1 and 2?
